Ok were seeing quite a few posts again on AP2.5, kinect dash, LT update to LT+
So here i am going to try and explain it best i can :
AP 2.5 was brought in by Microsoft to stop pirate copies being played on thier Xbox's, be banned or not. So if you are on the Kinect dashboard, with LT on your drive (Liteon & BenQ Drives) and try to play a game with AP2.5 layer on the game, it will not load, if that aint bad enough, it will flag your console for a ban. So with that in mind, we'll get to the Firmware.
Ixtreme LT was released, due to the last ban wave, where ix1.61 and before was detectable. Why? Google it. It was also released due to the games being released on newer waves, that the firmware did not recognise, so would not boot it, was basically a security feature to stop you from booting badly patched games.
Now we have LT+ for Liteon and BenQ only. Why is this? Because Samsung and Hitachi drives dont do AP2.5 checks. LT is the latest for samsung, and 1.51 for Hitachi drives. LT+ will allow you to boot games on the Kinect dashboard. It will also stop any AP2.5 flag viiolations, but if you were flagged before LT+ was on your drive, your flagged.
How do I update my firmware?
Well what your basically going to be doing, is writting the LT+ firmware to your drive with your key, if you dont have it, then your going to have to do it :
Liteons flashed with LT - MRA Hack, this is because the LT for Liteon Drives is based on the 93 series of drives.
Liteons flashed Pre LT - Tray half open status, dummy from ixtreme in Jungleflasher.
BenQs flashed with LT (Also IX 1.41) - Treat as stock drives, BenQ unlock in jungleflasher.
BenQs Pre LT - Tray half open status and Device Intro in Jungleflasher.
When you/pay someone to flash your drive, always keep the original firmware safe
If you have your key, then just follow the Guides posted here, or the Jungleflasher .pdf on how to flash your drive.
Once your drive is flashed, your good to go. I do recomend running your games through ABGX, this will apply patches for the AP2.5 security layer, similar to those that Team Executer released along with the LT+ firmware.
