    its happened again?

i have tryed to update my liteon to the new LT+ but have come across an error and could do with some advice.

again i have once erased my liteon 83850c drive, I have now got the drive into status 0x80 but when sending the vendor Intro to port, it keeps on coming back device Intro failed!! no matter how many times i send the Intro command it keep on saying its failed.

any ideas what i an doing wrong? this is the second time this has happened on the same drive?

I would advise you to get a VIA 6421 PCI card. I think its a chipset issue.

VIA 6421 SATA PCI CARD FOR XBOX 360 FALSH REPAIRS 6421A on eBay (end time 02-Dec-10 21:38:37 GMT)

All of ?6 for most compatable chipset there is (usb compatable devices coming)

Select correct port. Power off drive. Send device intro. Turn powoer on.

How are you power cycling the drive? What are you using to power the Drive?

i have the sata cable pluged into a spair sata port inside my pc, and i am using the excuter ck3 pro to power cycle the drive on and off.

do i need a chipset if i have a spare port?

Not all motherboards are compatable, use your pc system information to find out chipset type, NVidia/Intel so on.

The via is most compatable and worth a purchase in my eyes for a lowly ?6. You could try another pc, i flash from my motherboard which is a ICH10 chipset but have a via card(s) on stand by

i have now managed to get the drive into vendor mode. but when i click on ''write'' tab it keeps on sayin,
            drive returned to invalid status!

what do i look for in device manager, to find out what chipset i have?

Its in system information, not device manager. VIA Card, the way forward

ABGX will patch the iso for you, no need to do anything else

Coould just be a bad burn. Maybe a glitch. Sometimes i get a burn that wont install onto hard drive but it plays the game no probs.

Certsin drives like certain media etc.

Try installing it to hard drive see if it crashes.

Set ABGX to level 3 an ensure Ap25 layer is patched in ABGX.

If fails again i would think about reflash

                            what media are you using?

Did u remove laser ribbon before flash?

bad burn, also realized i run it through ABGX 1.0.3.

Now that i updated ABGX all OK.
