    Problem with hard drive

I have just found a 20gb hard drive that i had laying about.
So i plugged it into my flashed box but it does not recognise it.
It says no memory device found when i go to settings.

I know this hard drive used to work as i upgraded it for a 120gb.
So if anybody as any advice on what could be wrong with it please tell......

Can you choose to format the drive at all?

Try plugging it in to another console see if its recognized.
I have seen some drives not shown on some consoles but on others. A format usually does the trick.

See if it is recognised. I think the hard drives are partitioned 4 ways. Chroma posted a guide on how to set up a new 250gb for an xbox, will be same procedure
