XBOX 360 games

Hi All / Anyone

Forgive am newbie - got an xbox 'capable of playing backups'.
When i try latest (Games) ISO's, the system says it requires an update to play them.
I have read about the latest 'wave' of games. what number is the 'latest wave'?

I do not have knowledge or confidence to update firmware woz wondering if there was a patch for the latest wave of games which can be burned along with ISOs to make them boot / play.
Again I hope i dont sound like a total fool as this is all new to me.

Latest wave is wave 9.

You can patch them, but they dont always work.

You will need to update your dash whatever.
