Kinect - Is it worth my money?

I'm assuming that a few of you out there in the land of Kaos will now be proud owners of the Kinect system.

How have u found it, does it have the same novelty life span of the Wii or is it actually worth the same price as the console?

Also, how does it compare to Sony's 'Move'?

I have both machines and I'd like to buy the better of the two.

Please no Fanboy replies.

I aint tried the PS3 move. But i find the kinect good. Video calls over msn. The games are good, been playing kinect sports today and its allot better than wii sports.

It has face recognition, can navigate the dash, vioce commands, can use as a mic for game parties.

I think its good, but am affraid its gonna end up like the wii and collect dust once the novelty wears off. I will play it tho an like the kinect sports/adventures.

I have ended up with 2 of the bloody things as bought the slim package, so if you have the Phat box, it needs the mains adapter as the slim powers the unit itself.

Overall, i like it but aint got a ps3 move to try, but compared to the wii? Its allot better and just as fun

What the wii aint got, is the online functions of the xbox. I have the same thoughts on ours also.

The 1 real draw back is that you do need allot of space to play it

My living room is pretty big so that shouldn't be a problem.

I had a test play in TESCO. I configured it for myself and played some of the demo games. I was pretty impressed to be honest, the response was a tad slower than I expected, but nothing major, plus I'd expect games to take the delay into account.

what really impressed me was that it could see all my joints moving independently and how far away I was. Pretty cool.

Apart from the Keep Fit type games, what games are there that would entertain someone like me that enjoys shooters and racers?

I hope they bring out a Tomb Raider where we have to actually make her jump to the ledges.

Forza 4 is coming out for it so i cant see it being a flop. Also Tiger woods is gonna be out on it. I have tested all the games on the Kinect and it really does do the business.

Nothing like the wii whatsoever.

Ive all so bought the *cough* KIDS one for xmas , Ive had a bit of a play on it in work and i do think its great.
