    hdmi then scart

    hi
    xbox 360 noobie here,,just purchased this box which isnt very old and hasnt been used much at all,i know its a working box
    just plugged it into tv using scart and im getting no signal on the screen,now recently this happened with my ps3 and i found out that if the ps3 has been previously connected using hdmi(which it had) and then put back to scart you have to reset the settings by holding down the power button whilst its booting up until you hear a second beep,is there something similiar i need to do for the x box ?
    any help much appreciated

                  ive tried that process but the controller is not connecting to the box,put new batteries in but hasnt made any difference,any ideas ?
