2011 system update

Heya

Whats this new system update about? can i just install it and still be able to play burned games?
Im on about the update after the AP 2.5 one.
And another question, answer might be obvious but it cant hurt to try right?
If i update a burned game on Xbox live, will it get me banned?
I never updated any burned game, but something is really starting to piss me off, hence the question.

This coincides a bit with a question I was going to ask...

If I am able to play burnt games now on an old 06' model xbox with a Samsung drive with no AP2.5 and the old dash, then what happens if I sell it but keep the games and buy a newer slim model and get it flashed(lets say they are easy to flash in the future). Will the games still work or will I have to rip them of the disk again and patch them for the newer console that has better AP?

I will never be looking to play on xbox live if that makes a difference.

If you burnt the images to disc, and the AP2.5 was activiated for that title, then you would need to reburn the disc. ABGX will add AP2.5 replay sectors to those titles that require it.

Ripping from an XBOX drive with 0800 FW will give you SSv2 as supposed to the pc methods that give you SSv1

This has been the case for 2 or 3 years mate. All info is stored on the nand, then updated when you connect to live. So its nothing new in the 2011 update.

All the above update did was activate ap2.5 on certain games, eg COD ones.

No need to start buying anything. Update to LT+ stealth all your games, and be prepared to reburn games once they have had ap2.5 enabled.

Damn! I've been a fool thinking my pc ripping methods were fail safe. So if my Samsung drive is flashed with iX 1.6(I think thats what the guy mentioned it was flashed with)... then does that mean it's an 0800 drive and will rip games properly if I interface it to my pc?

Yes mate, you could even flash with IX1.61.
