Do you have the original dump from the drive or the key you want the drive to go into? If so then your ok.

But still. You have a chipset issue. If the guide i posted on DOS recovery and JF recovery, then there is little you can do until the VIA card arrives..

I told you to get 1 a while ago to save yourself the trouble. I can use a intel ICH10 chipset, not all sata chipsets are compatable, the VIA 6421 is the best sata chipset for XBOX drive flashing

Try another port on the card

          tried another port

In drive properties it says drive in vendor mode

          in flash chip properties

          vendor id 0x0
          device id 0x0
          Name unknown type
          size n/a
          type status 0x7F

in bottom white box if i do a lite-on erase

          drive returned status 0x72
          manufacturer id 0x0
          device id 0x0
          flash name unknown type
          flash size n/a

click on intro/device id and nothing happens apart from lots of dots

drive returned status 0x72 is a good sign - i think!!!!

Could it be something to do with before it died it was spoofed as a samsung then i was putting it back to liteon when it froze and died?

          Regards

PM me your team viewr details m8 will look over it for you

My guess is that either a wrong port is being used, or drivers are not removed correctly

last thing i did before i tried putting it back with original key was to spoof it with samsung key, which went onto drive fine.

Could this be stopping me from doing intro/device id?

Firstly you cannot spoof lt+ to a different revision of drive. You need to replace the drive with another liteon. A samsung won't play games properly as no ap2.5 ability. And osig of console will be a liteon.

Secondly you should have saved the 5 original files, these are what are needed to recover the drive. If you have the key then youay be able to get away with replacing the drive or send it to myself or cunny for recovering.

The drive is simple to recover.
Create the .bin file in JF and flash using dos.

Hi, it was a key originally from a samsung that i put onto the liteon, it was so i could put the liteon in another box to make sure it was the drive that was at fault and not the box.

I have the original 5 files, dummy serial etc etc.

Cunny has so kindly on a couple of occasions remote accessed my pc and had a look and had the same trouble as I was getting.

I tried the iprep, created 1234567 and 12345 and put cfw inside that folder, created boot on usb stick, booted with stick and iprep opened no probs but whe i type the L74 1234567 12345 W i just get a bad command message

Anything else i can try please?

                          Regards
