can I recover liteon drive?

so i know theres this thing about ap2.5 but now i have an early samsung flashed with LT is it ok to go online or should I put the hitach with LT+ into the HDMI box for online?

Use the hitachi. You talk as if your wanting to spoof the drives onto the liteon. If you have a hitachi console with LT+ not spoofed then i would say use that one.

As i stated earlier i have 2 spoofed consoles online and have no probs as of yet.

yeah got a hitachi with LT+ and online no probs with composite cables, was just wondering if i should put it in the spare box i now have which has an hdmi slot on the back, this one being the one that had the liteon drive which is now ~~~~ed

No then the drive will be spoofed as a liteon and will act like a liteon.

So you saying if I put just the key from a liteon onto a hitachi it will think its a liteon?

Put the liteon key onto the samsung I have and it still knows its a samsung and it works in the box that had the liteon

Also no point putting a samsung in any box that can perform ap2.5 checks as the osig will be liteon so will try and do the check and will not boot the game.

1 benq as samsung. Other as liteon. I also have hitachi that works fine.

Samsung Drives Dont support the AP2.5 check. The games that have this check and on the correct dash should not boot and flag for a ban. BenQ support AP2.5 so they should be clear, however though, there are rumours and C4e said that spoofing drives is no longer safe for live due to osig being deteced.

As for the samsung being detected and the liteon not, this is because the liteon is erased, hence it wont respond as there nothing there for Jungleflasher to read.

What you need to do, with drive powered off, send device intro to the port thats its connected to, then keep switching on, if nothing, power cycle again, repeat until drive responds, dos flash is best for this, as it will keep trying to put it into vendor mode all you do is power cycle the drive. You will see status 0x80 but once vendor mode achieved, will be 0x72, you will more than likely see some other status also.

I have offered to do this for you as i dont believe its a brick if the power connector has been plugged in right way round and that MRA has not been attempted

I know which port its on only because of the port the samsung appears on when plugged in. I know what your saying and have tried with dosflash many a time now, problem is dosflash wont even pick the drive up on the port so cant even ask it to try and go into vendor mode, it just doesnt know its there, if i plug another drive in then yes that appears.

Thanks, yeah tried all that, drive just does not appear, the port is in the list but nothing by the side of it, no "MTK vendor intro failed message", as i say if i unplug it and plug the samsung in then yes these messages appear.

I really think we have tried every option, the drive needs to be seen to be able to do anything and as its not then think its a dead
