our xbox is linked to our pc via wifi this allows music to be played through xbox. However i can stream iplayer from pc through to xbox to watch on tv screen.

As far as I'm aware it depends on what you are using to stream. With WMP you cannot only stream video located in "My Videos". There are other software you can use on your PC to stream internet TV, I'm guessing iplayer would be supported.
I intend on using my 360 as a media extender. Which may be what you are doing. I think this will give you more support, but until I delve deeper I am unsure.Comment
