    laptop not powering up

    hi all i have a samsung laptop thats not powering on when i plug the power supply in the light on it flickers away then i unplug it from the laptop ths light is steady. i have taken the laptop apart and tested the socket with a multimeter and imi getting continuity. also tried a new power supply and its doing the same thing any ideas?

    will it start with the battery pulled out and the lead in?

      Hi mate I do know that there is a resistor that works loose on the board but not sure the name of it though. I have had same probs and had to take it to the shop to get it fixed. All i know is its by the power supply by the ribbon that attacted to screen....

        the power jack, it must be that,buy one and resolder or see if yours has any connection loose on the board.Let me know.

          checked the power jack and solder still looks fine!

              try another battery. the same one....find same notebook for try
