    usb stick speed

What should I be expecting from a usb stick, in terms of transfer speed?
Trying to transfer a movie at 6gb and it is taking an age.
Starts off at 80mb a second, then levelling out at 6mb/sec.

    Just seem soo slow..
    Its a Freecom 8gb stick.

I use the pretec i-disk bulletproof it's almost as fast as the voyager but because it is all metal an pretty small it's sits on my keyring and never looks dirty or worn and I'm working in and around the building trade all the time or down a manhole and I can guarantee that it is water proof and I get about 24mb/s read and write from the 16gb version. I know that is not what the official stats say but I'm not complaining that it's better than expected.
