without pissing on anyone else's toes, i've found both AVG and Avast to be a waste of time.. been stung whilst using both, poor AV is as bad as no AV in the repect that you'd be more complacent about where you visit , thinking you're fully covered.

For peice of mind regarding anti-virus, the only two worth their salt are, ESET Nod, and Kaspersky AV they both do 30-day trials that'll sort you out. (Click links) I'd get your mate to have a look at one of these too.

I think it?s your friends that have the problem and it should be them scanning their computers.

agree, if you'd already been stung with malware, there'd be no need to for it to send you infected mail.

As I said lads, I might aswell be looking up a bears arse as trying to fix a computer, so am taking all the advice ppl are good enough to give me. Also told my m8's to check their's.

Red, when I got my first email address I had made it out in capital letters and always had difficulty accessing it as I was typing it in lower case so I vowed that all my email addresses would be lower case from then on.(I have four, by the way)
I recently got junk mail in which my email address was in capitals so I knew it was a scam/virus and deleted it in the junk folder.

most virus are sent on the backs of good e-mail address..so keep a clean system, run Eset, the best for me ( find a crack like I do) and change your pass when it happens.....and of course just delete mails from someone who wants to meet you....or what ever....life is not that good for most of us....
