    making a multi-boot USB flash-drive ?

i've got a 16gb usb flash-disk thingy, clipped to my keys, which has been handy for all kinds of things, especially for the 'can you have a look at my computer ?' moments , as i've got a load of anti-virus / recovery / diagnostic / stuff on it... and i've copied across a win7 x64 image and made it bootable... thing is..... i also need a x32 version of win7 sometimes.... and xp 32... and a ME-dos boot disk.... and a linux bootable live-OS with NTFS would be good too..... can't seem to be able to partition a USB flash-disk so is there a way to make a multi-boot menu for it ?

I'm guessing the grub tool could do what i want, with some clever tweaking, but dunno where to start ..... ?

EDIT : I've had a good ol' dig about and found a couple of tools that are near the mark, but nothing i've seen lets me use two versions of 7 side-by-side (32 + 64 bit), plus the tools i've looked at do all the clever stuff behind the scenes, so i dunno what to change or tweak.. and copying 10+GB of crap onto my USB disk is sllooooooooowww.

    would really appreciate any pointers.

Ive seen a bootable windows AIO on certain trackers before, if you grabbed this you could just add the linux partition at the end, not sure about creating a multiboot menu though.

Found what i need : HERE

      Currently in the <long> process of making a multi-boot USB-Key drive with ;

      Kaspersky KAV rescue CD
      Win 98SE floppy image
      Ophcrack XP
      Hiren's Boot CD
      Backtrack
      Ubuntu x32
      Windows XP pro x32
      Windows Live XP
      Windows 7 AIO x32 x64

weighs in about 8GB.. gonna take another 5 hours or so till it's done.
 will make a rather handy keyring when it's done though.

Very, very nice, at only 8GB that has some great potential. You could probably strip quite a bit out with nlite/vlite, slipstream drivers, add portable apps, encrypted partition, rainbow tables. All in a single flash, like it a lot

Found http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...7-99-a-203201/ in the bargain bucket. This should speed up the transfer rate and make a very stable base for a very usefull boot disk

Expect the prices of these to fall rapidly, new 3.0 drives are becoming popular now and offer much better read/write rates.
For 2.0 drives look for corsair/OCZ, not much more but much faster read/write rates.
Still like the sandisk drives personally (have 3) but they're slow.

pretec i disk bulletproof for me fast enough for anything I have thrown at it and it is as it says on the tin virtually indestructable. I have inadvertantly tested it on a few occasions
