XP Admin Password

Is it possible to recover my XP Admin password if the computer I have has got Mcaffee Endpoint Encryption that can't be removed?

I've forgotten the password

I've tried Login Recovery, ran the disk and it came back, error can't find drive

Hi, yes is possible and easy to do, just download the XP live cd from here: Ophcrack

boot from it and select automatic, in less than 5 minutes it will show you all the accounts and passwords

Thanks egyclick, but this didn't work

No passwords were found for administrator but it did find some other logins (aspnet)

Any other ideas?

have u tried password remover or recoveryiv used it on xp vista and 7 and it works perfect, just checked my disc and its called windows password recovery u should find it on the torrent sites,just put it in reboot boot from disc and then go thru the passwords and reset them

There is a utility on hirens boot cd that will show all passwords on the pc

type it into CMD


Start run...cmd click enter so it opens a dos prompt and type the above

Quite an old version, up to 13.2 now though there have been a few file changes since. Google hirens boot cd its free to download.

An old trick is to press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice when your are prompted for user password and in the window that will appear type at user: Administrator and leave password blank and hit enter.

Used SAMInside and it gave me the LM and NT

Hirens Boot CD really have many function...except reset admin password...the most important program inside I think is HDD regenerator....It help us to clean bad sector...I use it since 2005 year and always working...but can't not use if problem hardware...
