You can't go wrong with Canon. The main criteria when I'm buying a printer is availability of compatible ink cartridges, and canon printers have tons of them. I have an MP610, that's ticks all the boxes: printer, scanner, direct to cd printing.

The direct to cd printing is a superb feature and used in combination with some colour protection spray will give really professional looking results.

The MG5250 is excelent for everything. If you use compatible inks get the ones that have chips.
I get mine from Rite Inks, Compatible Epson, Canon, Brother, HP & Ink Cartridges and never had any problems.

i have always been of the opinion that epson printers offer best value for money as in price to puchase versus price per cartridge.

                        I have the Epson P50

Prints CD/DVD's, reasonably quick page printing, handles 190gsm paper & a full set of inks costs ?7

For standard and office use Canon , + it can easily replace printer head instead other printer need replace fully.
