1: put windows 7 disc in pc
2: enter bios, press an 'f' key, (it will tell you which one on startup, maybe esc, or del too)
3: follow prompts and install 7
      Fave replies from various threads

do you mind losing all ur stuff? if not, format it, if you want to keep it, get a dvd or 2, or 10, or a usb storage device and save it

if you are just doing an upgrade it will not format the drive.

when its done you will have a folder in c:drive called "windows old", this will have all your stuff from vista , you can then drag stuff you want to keep into new folders and delete windows old when your done.

most poeple recommend doing a frrsh instal, there will be an option for formatting drive, if you follow the prompt.
