    Windows Xp Hal.Dll Error

I am trying to install windows xp pro sp3 on a bootcamp partition on my macbook pro 13. I have done this a few times with no problems.

I create my partition using my bootcamp assistant, insert my windows cd and it reboots, I create a NTFS partition and windows installs on the blue screen setup, copies files and reboots, then I get the hal.dll error.

I believe there is no way to access the recovery console as windows has not fully installed. I have read there is some way to fix it using the recovery console and command prompt.

Ive even went to the hassle of deleting my whole hard drive and installing macosx and proceeding with the windows xp setup from scratch.

I have definitely changed it to ntfs, I know that can be an issue. Just cant think of anything else.

I also burned a bootable ms-dos 6.22 dvd using disk utility but when I restart my mac this will not load.
Working...
