I'm pretty sure Dreamweaver is still the industry standard for website creation. Of course you can use other software packages like Flash, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator too - but for basics like layout, tables, stylesheets etc, Dreamweaver is the best.

If you want software that is very easy and needs no coding skills then try Incomedia X5 Evolution. It makes flash based websites by just dragging and dropping, you can include galleries, slideshows, video, sound, menu's and lots more. It has templates for various themes.

The industry standard is notepad generally. I dont know of many people that use dreamweaver professionally

Best bet is to grab a copy of it but get stuck into the code to. Check out W3Schools online guides, its free and very good entry level stuff.

W3Schools offers free online tutorials, references and exercises in all the major languages of the web. Covering popular subjects like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Java, and many, many more.
I can fix that for you no problems, just let me find my good hammer..

If it's a totally new site & you don't have a domain name or server setup yet you might want to look at Wix.com

It's very easy to use, so I've been told.
