Free Winrar ??

Been using trial winrar

For Ages, but now it wont let me compress any files,

"free trial expired....buy or remove from Pc".

never read this before, is this new, and how can i get round this ??

i just click on the x to get rid of this n carry on using if this is no good remove your version of winrar and try the downloads section on ere and download winrar again

7zip is free and works as well as winrar

I second 7 zip. it's does everything winrar does and is totally free, there's also a 64bit version that works faster.

You can use it in the same way as winrar too, by right clicking.

It's weird I'd never heard of this before reading it and then, Swear to god, not a few minutes after downloading something it did this to me. supremely helpful.

Quick Update....
After a while and before i removed and re-install winrar..

i tried to compress another file and all went well and has since,

i think there may have been something a miss with the first file
OR it was just a glitch in the system somewhere??

but the original install of winrar is working fine now..
