New Lappy..No Google!

I am picking up my new laptop today, and I would like to set it up in the UK and then take it abroad to be able to use the likes of BBCi player, TVcatchup etc.
I have already used expat shield recommended by Reddevil157, big thanks for that mate, but I want the computer to think I am still in the UK.
For that reason, I would like to stop the tracking of the likes of google, as excellent as it is. Can anyone recommend what to install, and what not to install, or what settings to change to stop this area tracking?

Trying out that on android (tor) just went to your link noticed it was available for droid so thought id test.
