    iomega hard drive

    hi guys, i have an iomega hard drive which has worked fine thru my blue ray player until the other day now when i plug it in to the bluray i cant access files or movies and it now makes a beeping noise, it works fine thru my computer any suggestions. thank you

    try another usb drive in ur bluray.. might be the usb connection on bluray gone tits up

      8 gb flashdrive works fine , maybe its the 500gb im using on my 1tb drive yet it quit on me mid film the othernight so it initially got past the high memory usage

        I think you should test your hard drive in other hd external case.After a shock or heat maybe your hd box down.

            tried hard drive on samsung 3d telly usb port same beeping noise and not showing files in media. going to try and move some files from hard drive to see if its the high memory on the drive which is causing the problem if anyone cares that is.

              well have just removed around 40G from external hard drive and plug in play feature still doesnt work and beeping noise still persists any help would be welcome guys

                Whats model numbers ect? what kind of beeping noise? short repeating beeps or continous long beep

                Also what file system are you using, NTFS, FAT, FAT32 ect

                        bluray is a samsung bd-c5300 not sure what you mean model number on enclosure if you mean the caseing that,ll be 3185100 on the portable hard drive. thx
