Hi, I am having problems with Adobe shockwave. I am running Windows Vista with IE9. When I browse the computer hangs, and IE does not shut down properly when I log out. However if I disable Adobe shockwave flash in my add ons all seems to run ok until I hit a program that has graphics, then it states down load adobe flash player. Does anyone know of a compatability issue and is there a fix for this?

Not sure, but ie9 probably isnt helping matters, its old. You should look to use a more recent browser. -
- open ur computer up and make sure it all clean and the harware is properly connected
could be that ur gfx card has slightly popped out of possition if its not an onbaord gfx card
while ur in there check ur ram sticks see if they are still installed in the slots properly
ricopcouk is right that u need a newer wed browers so find and download firefox 6 be there best thing u ever did and u can import all ur bookmarks n pages from IE when prompted by firefox on installation
are u using 32 or 64 bit? vista
if all fails mate trying gettin hold of a copy of windows 7 n start a fresh really need to get off that beta vistaComment

I doubt the problem is IE9 as such. I actually get similar problems cropping up on just about any browser and the fault is almost certainly down to Adobe (who are well known for their overbloated and badly functioning software). I've had various problems with Adobe products in the past using IEx, Firefox and Chrome (which is a horrible, horrible browser). Usually, the problem is down to Adobe trying to be clever and using things in very nonstandard or nonportable ways.
IE9, btw, is actually a fairly modern browser and is still currently supported by M$. Although it has its quirks, if Adobe cant get their stuff to work with this particular bowser then they shouldn't be writing browser addons.Comment
