hi guys, thinking of gettin my lad an ibm think pad t42 laptop off the bay, seems like a decant one but does anyone know anything about these comps, any advice would be great.cheers..chris...

They dont look pretty but they're good strong robust laptops built with quality parts, a good choice for a secondhand purchase.

I have owned one back in 2006 and like he said they're solid, robust ,reliable laptops .

Only one bad think on it is low time battery , in any case if you get new battery it will also work a short , they have Apollo PCB with very bad power management.
But global it is very good laptop as all say - I like it too.

i have a x61 its solid stable and i use it for everything. i have a mac book, netbook and a vaio but i keep coming back to this laptop
