    30gb to multiple dvd's??

Anyone know how to burn a 30gb software package to multiple DVD's so that it works and installs correctly? Or even if it's possible?

I want to install something that's on my tower PC onto my laptop.

Yeah I could, but I'm a bit anal sometimes I like to have a lot of backups in case something fails .

Will probably do that for the installation, but would ideally want to try and get them on disk too.

The term used to burn a large program to multiple installation discs is called spanning . the process has been around for years . HP/Compaq ,Acer ect. all use it with their Recovery Cds/Dvds that they either provide You or there is software installed on the PC which allow You to "burn" Your own set of rescue discs .

Ghost does spanning , so does Nero and UltraIso is good to go as well . Use good quality media such as from verbatim and Your set should last thru many Years/installations .
