Whats the best Windows/PC for editing?

I do editing for fun and I really enjoy it, at the moment I have a windows PC its a couple years and so its starting to run slower now and run out of memory..
I'm interested in looking at new computers that will hold lots of memory, as i have lots of clips and they are pretty much all HD, I would like it to be a windows computer as I use Sony Vegas 9.0 and I really like it and I'm used to it. I am hoping for one under $700
information, computer types and websites would be very helpful. thanks

You need probably quad core minumum.
Core I5 if you can afford it and get a decent graphics card ATI 5800 or above and probably 8 Gig of ram and that should last you a while.

video editing is actually one of the most processor intensive and ram hogging thing to do on a PC... Running someone like sony vegas and photoshop can actually suck up your RAM faster than any high end games they are coming out with now days. I would go with a something like an i5-2500 with 8+ gb of memory. Having a solid state drive would help speed up things too but thats not really necessary.
