    internet explorer 8

    hi all i dont want to seem thick but ive just downloaded the above to my home pc & to my netbook but on my pc its on the start screen so i can click on it & away i go. but on the netbook it aint on the start screen why. i know its an easy fix but plz put me out of my misery

    Sadly, you need a bullet to put you out of your misery.

    Download firefox, opera or chrome. Use anything but explorer.

      How about reinstalling internet explorer 9 then when nothing happen back to 8 then back to 9 then back to 8 then pc will give up on you.

      Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

          On the start menu look in All Programs and find Internet Explorer. Click on it and drag it onto the homescreen, will create a shortcut.

          I do agree with the others, though, Chrome and Firefox are much better and faster browsers.

            you are right i usually use chrome but to use the british gas top up machines on my computer british gas wanted me to use internet explorer 6 or above . the start screen doesnt have it on but cheers anyway

              Google Chrome all the way, fastest browser by far, and think it's only ever crashed once since I've had it.

              IE crashes all the time, and firefox is just as bad if you have a lot of windows open
