Blue Screen on Laptop, HELPPP!!!!!!!!?

I have a Dell Studio AMD windows vista, after one year warranty, the blue screen showed up many times and it said atkamadag drive something like that. Few week ago, my laptop shut down and wont go on, I took the battery out pressed the on button few times but still wont go on, there is no noise on the fan, light go on in the on button and the front but that's about it. Few weeks later I tried to put it on, guess what? went on, but Shut down again 3 days latter. Then week later came back on again same way. Now is working but am afraid will go off again, i cleaned the fan and i have the cooling desk. Anyone please tell me what is wrong with it? do i have to download window 7 or just some king a hardware problem. If you can give me step by step instructions what to do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you...

If you think you can do it.... Remove the lower case & take out the cooling fan & heatsink.
Clean the processor & heatsink. Re-paste with a good silver based compound & put it all back together.

laptops over heat alot..... processor getting too hot, then shuts down.. follow advice given ..clean and add new paste.. ask from special PC shop about the paste
