    i'm setting up a website and haven't a clue how basically. i know what i want it to look like, and what i want on it, but that's about it.

    anyone got any foolproof guides for setting up websites from scratch?

    you can use Wix - Create Your Website Today there already a few in here used to create nice sites.

      If you've got hosting with cpanel access then chances are it comes with RVSiteBuilder and a load of templates.

        Here are two sites I've been playing with using wix...

        It's quite easy to use once you start.

        Create a new email account that you want to call the website as it's the email address thats used for the site URL unless you pay for the service.

          Could always try with a WYSIWYG web design software like Serif WebPlus

            thanks everyone, i have a friend hosting the site and will probably get him to do the web design to be honest, as i really don't have a clue and need it to look professional.

            he says he'll give me a good price, so just have to wait and see

              Get Dreamvawer and start messing with HTML ...
              Or go to templatemonster.com and buy nice template ...

              Or google Free templates ...

              Or just use CPANEL to install some free CMS and pick a Skin for it and customize it.
