Epson, then you can buy compatible inks at a tenth of the price of genuine epson inks..

Shadyback... I agree...KODAK are well renowned for printer ink being cheap and also cartridges lasting "longer" ....their printers/associated products are cheap but as far as I am aware their printers are actually quite good for the price range they retail for and quite regularly outperform their dearer counterparts

To replace a Dell printer that was to cost ?20 odd for a new cartridge, I have just bought an Epson SX130 from Argos in their sale ?69-95 down to ?24-95 ---so its cheap. Uses individual cartridges, which when I priced them up @ ?4-99 for a black and ?17-99 a set (ultimately refillable) I thought that also seemed cheap. Prints and also scans so can be used as a copier. Time will tell I suppose, but for a cheapie printer seems ok to me.

It might be worth you having a look at continuous ink supply system (ciss). Haven't tried one myself as i don't print much but in this previous thread people had good things to say about them. So maybe look for a printer that supports continuous ink supply systems.
