I've been with Newsdemon for a couple of years now and my connection has always been maxed out. Never had a problem with them, plus you get Newsrover newsreader free when you join. I've used a few different ones but this is my favourite one

      THE TRUTH
      The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Two of the biggest Usenet Providers and Resellers are working Hand in Hand with Anti-Piracy organisations. Those two are Giganews and Highwinds.
If you are a subscriber of one of the followings, it means you're contributing at the censorship of Usenet.

As the news feed says, Giganews and Highwinds are working with anti-piracy organisations and delete files upon request.

It should be something like this

              <MPAA> Hey Giganews, i have a problem.
              <Giganews> What is it?
<MPAA> Someone uploaded a Harry Potter movie, can you delete it please?
<Giganews> Sure no problem, gimme a sec...
              <Giganews> Done!
<MPAA> Thanks, you're awesome. Here's a big fat check for your trouble.
<Giganews> Great, i make tons of money from users paying for stuff they cant download on top of that.

I guess they never heard the saying that says "Don't bite the hand that feeds you"

On the other hand, Astraweb is independent and as today, they are being loyal to their paying customers. So take a stand, cancel your subs with them and go with Astraweb.

Not sure if you know, but as Giganews are covered by "Safe Harbour" in the US (where they are based) they have a legal obligation to do this for any request sent in by copyright holders. Astraweb is based in Singapore and as such not covered by the DMCA ruling or safe harbour, so dont give two flying whatevers.
As with any newshoster based in the US they must comply with this otherwise they will be taken down as quickly as Usenet.com was a few years back.
As for getting paid? Would like to see your source for this, as I cant see any copyright holder handing over money for removing illegaly posted files..... might be wrong though

Were Newsgroups not the way forwad 3 year ago ?

As the title say's I thought torrent / Utorrent was old new's years ago because of fake movies, and Virus'us hidden all over the place.

At least most NZB sites, the files are scanned and checked before the appear.

And if the do get a bad one the members report it straight away.

I would not touch torrents with a barge pole the hassle it causes these days.
