    need explanation for BITRATE KBPS

    I have a bit of software called SUPER C, its a very good converter. can any of you explain to me the issue of BITRATE for example ,i am converting files that are approx 60mins long and they are also AVI can anyone explain what bitrate is what is its significance and how to judge how high or low i set it. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR REPLIES

    i think, higher bitrate equals better quality??

    i know that with music 320kbps is better than 240kps (just an example) but prettty sure higher it is the better the quality, but may take longer to convert

      Thank you, baffled by it, thought maybe it was something that was relevant to the actual conversion process, i'm happy with your take on it. not so worried about it now.
