Hi there guys could anyone tell me what cable i need to connect my laptop to my tv. Its just a bog standard laptop not bluray. I have looked at vga to hdmi but some of the sellers on fleabay say that its not for this. I have a 15 pin hole at the back of my laptop so i presume its female and i need some sort of male to hdmi??? This is my first time posting in this section so be gentle im a noob. many thanks for any replys

So your TV has no VGA input, and your laptop has no HDMI output.. A cable alone will not work for you, even if it had the right connectors on each end.. You will need a VGA cable, an HDMI cable, and a "VGA to HDMI convertor" to go in between...
Alternatively, if your Laptop is powerful enough you might be able to use a "USB to HDMI" cable..
