can anyone help me, my son was using the main conputer last nite, when somehow XP POLICE ANTIVIRUS has overidden my AVG and took over my pc, any help suggestions will be appreciated
thank you dave
you could just go back to a "restore" point. this, often but not always, works. also the problem is, often, caused by a DLL file in the windows or on the root directory. it can be identified by its creation date and time. once deleted AVG will clean up with no problem, a scan by defender wont hurt either. i don't wish to preach, but if you have a firewall and anti virus, somebody has given permission for this to install. perhaps a talk on care when on web sites may be in order.
