hello, I will donwload the resetter software to try to solve my printing error; do anyone knows if that software can solve the general error? ..thank you, bye bye
will this software work for a General Error asking me to remove foreign objects? (can't find any, though there was a pen in the paper feed, but obviously I took it out already)
Hi Eaglefh, I have an epson stylus sx105 that is now saying service required, the error related to ink waste been full. I have now cleaned out the ink waste and all the pads but printer still states service required.
I think this is because it needs reseting but i am not sure how.
When you print limited count papers, printer stop and you have to reset it's counter by buying from Epson. Resetting chips make it more easy and cheaper.
Epson printers are fitted with waste ink pads that catch 'waste ink' generated during printing & cleaning the print heads.
To ensure these do not overflow, a counter is used to monitor the waste ink pad. When a maximum count is reached, the printer stops working & advises on 'Maintenance/Service Needed'
Resetting the waste ink counter allows the printer to work again. But the ink pads still need changing.
Resetting the waste ink pad counter will not magically produce more ink in your cartridges. It will not wave a magic wand & fix faulty chips on compatible cartridges. And it will never fix printing problems caused by blocked nozels in the print heads.
It will only reset the waste ink pad counter.
Death squads have been alerted & will visit the authors of any more posts that expect this software to help with anything other than resetting the waste ink pad counter.

I wasn't expecting the software to do any magic, but was wondering if it can allow the printer to continue printing only in black in case the colour cartridges needed to be replaced. I usually print many pages in black due to my studying, and I rarely need colour inks.
There are only two models listed in the software, Stylus TX 121 and Epson ME 320, can anyone of them be used to reset the cartridges?
