you are not taking into account the difference between Mega BYTE (MB) and mega BIT...

you multiply the d/l speed by 8 to get your speed.. so your getting roughly 56Mb
    Fave replies from various threads

1: What the fff is all that about??? All that crap below your reply I mean, get a life mate
2: no info on google abt the pace sv5 rang asda they have no idea what i was talking about,
3: Your total contribution to this forum, bordering on trolling, seems to have been a collection of snipes, one liners & asterisked expletives

Vermin also cap their download speeds between 5pm and midnight under some fair usage policy.

you will roughly get about 10% of actual download speed,on torrent sites newsgroups etc,ie say on 10mb file will come down at approx 1.1-1.2mbs,or say were on 20mb file will come down at approx 2.1-2.5mbs no way on this earth will you get 60mbs
i also upgraded to superhub today, wished i had kept old modem, and original setup.i upgraded from 10mb to 30mb,on the 10mb got the free double speed to 20mb,but on 30 mb upgrade getting same speed as i was on my 10mb package.picture 1 is 10mb with free double,
picture 2 is 30mb which i stupidly thought would be doubled free.conned again by vermin, will be on phone in morning,
        Attached Files

With wireless its a bit more tricky to narrow down, its either your wireless on your machine or the frequency being used by the router.

You can change the setting on your router

but I would advise against doing that without checking first, unless you have an Ethernet cable to hand.

This is because if you change it and your wireless on your computer can't run at that frequency then you won't be able to reconnect to the router to change it back.

How to change the setting on your router can be found here:
            Code:

Here are some general pointers to improve your wireless -

er no charge, thats a swear word in my book with vermin,if they tried charge me,be a no go,was on 10mb-phone line and freeview only,?30.80 a month, deal i got was hd box in livingroom (had old v+ box,) extra hd box in kids bedroom,M+ tv,and 30mb broadband and phone line, new package ?34 per month,no instalation fee no charge for superhub, think i got not a bad deal, cosidering its normaly ?6.50 for another box in bedroom, just did a test on superhub downloaded a file at 8.30. 7 mins to download 1.6gb,speed was 3.65mbs.

when you go 50mb or higher with vemin the speed is not capped. That was one for the reasons I went to them. lower speeds are under their FUP

Cheers bann32 we learn summat everyday. still cant complain as I had 9 months free service off them due to continuous packet loss on my service. They had to resort to giving me a 50mb modem and a router as they changed 4 superhubs without sorting it. At one time I had superhub one one pooter and 50mb modem on another with trace software running and you could see the packet loss on the hub but not the modem. These modems are not normally available but I got one as they were loosing money. still got it
