    sata or ide

    Hi guys
    ive just removed the HDD from my old lappy and want to put it into an enclosure, how can i tell if it is a sata or ide connector ??

    sorry for being an idiot, i know its probably easy for you guys but hey if you dont know you dont know.

          Thanks very much for the quick reply.

          i take it that the 2 sizes 3.5" and 2.5" are the pc size and laptop respective.??
