    new laptop help

    Goodmorning all, I need help with the specs on a new laptop.I surf the web do, do my business billing (quickbooks)but mostly web surfing .My current laptop is slowing down keeps kicking me offline and some of the keys dont work and its about five years old. The current specs are as follows
    windows 7 home premium upgraded from vista
    processor intel core 2 duo
    cpu t9300 @ 2.5 ghz
    instaled memory 4.0 gb
    system type 64 bit
    this is a hp paviliol dv2700
    I like the hp but am open to suggestions,Thanks in advance for the help 26 sutphen

    If thats all thats wrong with it i would stick in a new keyboard wipe it and check the wifi card m8 easy fix save a bundle..........

    Other than that you need to let us know your budget and what your after now spec wise ................

      Budget of around 1K not sure if todays technology is faster then what i have or not? If what i have is good enough let me know my comp. is really slow i had a friend do a virus scan and updated firmware? or something like that idk i just thought these things had a shelf life and mine was about up.           Yeah if you've got a 1k budget, then you can get a phenominal laptop for that money, it'll blow your current one out of the water, but as lagerland says I would fix it, it should cost you under ?50 to repair, backup your files & reinstall windows is a good way to get rid of any crap & speed the system up. Also check for new drivers if it keeps kicking you off internet, otherwise the wireless card may be nackered, doubt that though. It's upto you at the end of the day, but for what you use it for you don't need to blow 1k, ?500 is more than enough. Yeah today's technology is definetly faster, much better processors, faster memory, better screens, graphics cards, ssd's. List goes on.
