download a program call networx to see what s***d my browser is using. was around 300KB/s which is about 2400kbps

Just checked the man city game and its hovering around 290 to 310 kb/s but when I watch through nbc it's stays above 900 kb/s

Getting the same. On fullscreen on nb c are you getting the massive black frame around the video with the add at the top?

Yes and its annoying, doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it. It's not on the ipad though.

Thanks to Richyrich replying to me earlier (post #711) I was able to find them. Go to the bottom of main page click on soccer and they are listed along the bottom of the main picture.

Doesn't work with smart DNS you need to use VPN.

I use overplay VPN with NBC sports, works really well, I connect to VPN US Smart, s***dtest is showing my connection to that VPN at around 10meg, streams to my ipad perfectly. NBC will not work with smart DNS, I have contacted overplay a few times now but they have no plans atm to make smart dns service compatible with NBC sports live extra.

Sounds good 10 meg would be stutter free. I have a 60mb connection.

I noticed the vpn via overplay is cheaper for longer subscriptions will give it a try for a month first to see

I have just found out that my Asus router supports Vpn. Not being very techie on this subject, I wondered If I could set up my own Vpn and still use smart dns settings without subscribing to a Vpn.

Probably not, but I am researching the idea, want a better connection than hola offered because of buffering before Saturdays kick off at 3pm.

I can still subscribe to overplay vpn if I cant get this to work

Found the answer already - It's NO

I can set up my Pc to be accessed via a vpn, that's it

I guess the secure browsing and features of overplay VPN for just over ?6 a month is well worth it anyway
