Steam engine and key activation.

Somewhat PC related so here I go :

I have owned the "Halflife 2" dvd ORIGINAL since 2005.

Somewhere around 2008, I lost the email-adress I had with my account because I moved from my internet provider to annother one. As a concequence of this I can not start the game despite having paid for the stuff. I have tried to contact steam and have asked them to reset my account and have provided them with my game key. No reply what-so-ever.

For spite I searched the net after some sort of keygen for steam software that works but all there is to find is phonyballony stuff on Youtube with fake "download this virus for FREE" or "complete this survey for FREE but pay 20 bucks for some crap" links.

All the steam keygen I can find looks awesome but in reality
are all virus, droppers, trojans and further on.
They make my antivirus go into overdrive!

My question is : Does an actual keygen for Steam exist or is it all smoke and mirrors ?

Do I have any alternative to get the game working besides buying a new one (which I simply refuse to do!)

I am not asking for something that a mod will consider
trespassing the forum limits but can anyone give me a hint what to look for ?

A working steam key aint gonna happen.Better off buying the game again AFAIK. Im sure ive seen HL2 in game for ?5. even amazon has it for ?7.98

I will run my HL2 disc over, with the backhoe, for sheer fun then.
