    Windows Updates hanging

    Hi All

i am totally new to your forum and so hope I am not posting in the wrong place or asking something already answered.
I have a Windows 7 pro notebook that on shut down keeps hanging on windows update. it always hangs at 15%

Any suggestions to sort it out.

    Thanks in advance.

      Corupted Update files

I've see this more times then I can count on all my fingers and toes. Every time the problem has been Corupted Update Files. This happens when you shut down your comuter before it was done with an Update, the part that you did get is stuck in a Temp file and your dumb ass computer dosen't know what to do with it.

Mirosoft has a "Corupt update Cleanup tool" that will delete the temp files and you can then do your updates.

Try Google for more info and manual steps if your feeling lucky.
