windows live mail error side by side configuration

turned on my PC the other day and coud'nt open my windows live mail it came up with

the application failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect
i searched Google and it said its to do with an update so i restored my PC to previous time and stopped updates.
i have just opened live mail and the error has come up again any ideas or solutions guys

Try installing....


Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package


then restart your computer and see if this worked...
