Took bloomin' ages to install ... probably just as long as W7 ... it's a bit nerve racking to start with as windows 8 has to find a lot of your photos and stuff once installed and initially it sometimes says there's nothing there ! .......but it finds them eventually.

I tried it last year and it really is crap, hard to navigate and setup - even more than crap if you havent got a touchscreen

You couldn't pay me to use that thing that pretends to be a operating system with its lovely Teletubbie interface and split personality.
A must be missing something as most the mainstream tech sites are giving 8 rave reviews, Ballmers cheque book must be on fire...

I've never paid for any o/s.

And I would have to be paid a great deal of money just to install 8 on a pc. Even if I'm not going to be the user.

Vista has lost it's crown as the worst o/s ever made.

Just remember folks. If you do buy a computer this christmas, you can insist on having a downgrade to 7.
