    BBC News - Microsoft ditches Windows Live Messenger for Skype

    Microsoft said Windows Live Messenger (WLM) would be turned off by March 2013 worldwide, with the exception of China.

      Was to be expected, one of them had to go, and tbh I thought it would be Skype that was closed down, even though Skype is much better. I guess the Chinese government have created programs to actively monitor MSN (probably part of a deal done with MS to allow them to?) and haven't managed to create programs to monitor Skype calls yet.
      My master plan is to live forever..... going to plan so far
      Despite the cost of living, it's still very popular.
