Here are a couple of articles a picked up recently on PC Mag about MS.
Its regarding Windows 8 being over hyped in mainstream media by people with close links to MS.
It looks like MS may be up to old tricks by trawling sites and paying people to post positive comments about 8 and to shoot down people with negative views on 8.
This was a old tactic MS used with their IBM battle when OS2 was released and was part of a very strategic plan to make Windows a monopoly.
They stopped doing this once the monopoly was achieved and when Vista was condemned there was little point as the views were clear, it was crap.
8 is a unknown that splits users down the middle, old heads mostly hate 8 and see it as a toy, most new users seem to like it as do touch users so MS know its crucial to win as many over as possible.
MS have spent close to " 1 billion " dollars promoting 8,, yep 1 billion dollars on advertising, 7 was a fraction of that amount and it sold like Viagra.
MS claim 8 has out sold 7 on release (pi** off) but have refused to give out the most recent figures,, a wonder why?
