handy tool, trying it now, not sure about the depth setting either so trying it midway to see what its like, this will give me a mid-range sense of what the setting should be.

            Thanks for the software recommendation

hmmmm not having much luck at the mo, tried converting a film twice from 2d to 3d with a .mkv output and although played back on pc i'm getting SBS pictures but on tv its saying 3d option not available.

Anyone had luck with this 2d to 3d conversion if so what settings did you use? and what output format?

what ive been doing is letting the conversion run for 2 mins then stopping it and then test the part conversion

So have you had any sort of success with those formats on a 3DTV? i thought 3D films had to be .MKV

I'll keep trying different settings, if you could keep me updated with your success settings and i'll do the same for you, I'm sure theres a simple solution to get this working as i'm sure they wouldnt make the software if it didnt work.

I've tried finding guides on the ImTOO site but they dont explain settings, they just tell you what to click.

well i tried and yeah it worked sort off ish - created SBS avi file which my TV joined when played through 3D and yeah sort of depth ish but its almost like its pushed the whole 2D image further back in the tv, almost like the tv had depth rather than the image if you get what i mean. I might have to play with the settings and watch it a bit more and perhaps try some other videos - but yeah we're getting there. I do realise it wont be as good as large major companies can produce.

COD3WAX - try it, at least it works - ish
