    Noobroom sound issue

Thanks guy for getting me noobroom back.

I tried to watch a vid last night but there was no sound, this is via the HDMI to TV. Sound is fine when its any of the iplayers utube or files on my lappy.

Any ideas as to how i sort this? I was at it for hours last night couldn't figure it. Is there a possibility that the problem could be google chrome? Didn't think of that, but in it isn't assistance would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance for replies.

sounds silly, but when you connect laptop to HDMI it sometimes goes onto a different sound profile, have you tried turning the volume up on the laptop keys, once its connected, or try shutting the laptop lid.
    Simple ideas first.

I think i did have the sound up. I have tried with and without headphones, i also tried different combination, nothin doin. I am puzzled. There is sound through every other medium. I just can't pick up sound when i try to watch a vid using noobroom either from the lappy or hesdphones.

Right click on the speaker or volume icon in the bottom right corner of taskbar (or go to Sound in Control Panel) >
        Select Playback Devices.
Now connect your Laptop to HDMI with the TV on the correct HDMI Input. this should load another device > right click and choose "test" if it works, make this default for time being.
