AVI to DVD software

can anyone recommend any good software to use to convert avi to dvd which is quite fast and good quality.

I already use convertXtoDVD 4 which is really good but takes too long

Convert x to dvd can be found in usual places takes about an hour depending on file size..............

Have a look for Winavi, that will do it quicker but i use convert x to dvd, as already said takes longer but a better quality result.

Conversion Speed will depend on your CPU power and what sort of quality you're after, no matter what converting software you use. A good quality conversion should really be done with 2 pass encoding, which obviously takes twice as long as 1 pass.. Faster video encoding usually always sacrifices the quality of the end result.

People have suggested some progs already, try 'em out, or you might like to try the one below, which is really simple to use and is quite comprehensive in its capabilities.

Tip that's the one I use ,no probs with it, Opps sorry I have had an issue when a film is a mp4 format when it converts it the play back is terrible, but if its avi to DVD there is no problem at all.so if any one knows how to help with mp4 to DVD please let me know,I have tried another converter but this takes ages

convertx really quick if you get a decent pc - one of my old pc's use to take about an hour now takes around 10 minutes.

Could also try DVDfab - i use it to convert different formets but not used it to convert to dvd but it does do it.
