In my opinion that can only be a good thing. Neither cu.cc domains or facebook are plausible recommendations for any form of ecommerce site.

yip i agree, cu.cc or similiar ok for people want to try there hand at sites..

and to have ecommerce in via app on facebook can be good and bad thing, depends on what you selling. but then again you have to go ssl for apps to become live, but then again if its ecommerce has to be ssl or no one will buy from site

after wasting 2 days trying to help.

you send a html file and advise me to open in dreamweaver.

all editors work on it even basc notepad, you also mentioned its a selling site... from the html file you sent its a simple webpage thats free from most host, a start up page.

Mental note to myself never offer to help others if they cant supply relevant files or try and teach me stuff i already know.

                Cheers for wasting my time...

good luck on your new site TechKaos am how orginal eh...

i created it with dreamweaver which most people use to create websites and thats was only one page
i sent you that so you could just edit that then i copy the rest to other pages
i even told what programme to use to edit it
you did offer to help so i took up the offer but seemed you didnt understand what i wanted from you
                    so i left it

I think more than probs you have not explained yourself very well ... this is most likely due to you over complicating the process.

As you appear to be newish to putting up a site i would have said do something simple to start off with.

1st you buy a domain name ... does not matter if its .com .info .cc .uk ect

2nd buy some cheap shared hosting ... these days you can get 20gbs for under ?30 a year.

3rd forget about dreamweaver and up something like wordpress ... its easy to mod and can create some great looking sites. Unless you are proficient with DW you are not going to get a good looking site, and lets be honest who is going to buy from a shabby looking site.

Yep wordpress is a blog ... It can be used for eCommerce sites and even the free templates can be used to create something good looking.

If your project takes off you can always upgrade and use something else, But 1st learn the basics.

gazz10 knows his way around the www and has a really good understanding of tons of the software used.

Keep it simple to start with otherwise your onto a loser before you get going.
