Having problems such as it wont load usb modem and other usb based diag software , the chap I bought it from suggested that because it comes from a big bank it might have been tailor made to their specifications ??

Ok dont know what to suggest realy, never had to make a dos disc to update bios. You select the file restart and it does it,could be you ports have you installed all the drivers....................

The point with disc is when using old bios upgrade system from dos, the program creates backup of bios prior flashing new one. You can create usb bootable flash drive with all files and then boot from it and use it instead of floppy disc.

I think you can download dell utility for flashing directly from windows on their site, send me service tag and I can check if you want it to.

Ok you dont need a dos disc m8 thats only for the 240 and b4 .The bios file you have is executable file exe so you just go through the motions and then a restart when done thats it......................
